What is Asphalt Milling?

Asphalt milling is also referred to as pavement milling, cold planing, and profiling. This is a term that is used to describe a process of removal of at least a part of the surface of an area that was previously paved. This is commonly done on roads, parking lots among other surfaces.

Raveling: Asphalt installation is done through the mixture of an aggregate and the asphalt. These two are mixed and layered on the surface to cool as the liquid asphalt is mixed hot. Over time, the aggregate and the binder (asphalt) become lose on the road causing breaks all over. This is due to weather conditions and external factors acting on the surface.
